LED strip light basically is a connection of LEDs that are soldered together with resistors to create a circuit. LED stripn light is a new and versatile forms of lighting.
It’s compose of many individual LED emitters placed on a narrow and flexible circuit board. It operates on low-voltage DC power. The backside of the LED strip includes a double-sided adhesive. Obviously, simply peel off the liner, and mount the LED strip to virtually any surface. The circuit board is designed to be flexible, LED strips can be mounted on curved or uneven surfaces.
The brightness of LED strips is set on using the metric lumens. LED strip light can have different variety of efficiency, unlike incandescent bulbs, a wattage rating is not always meaningful in determining actual light output.
LED strip brightness is commonly described in lumens per foot. A high quality LED strip should provide at least 450 lumens per foot or 1500 lumens per meter, which provides approximately the same amount of light output per foot as a traditional T8 fluorescent lamp.
Furthermore, LED strip brightness is primarily set on by three factors:
- Light output and efficiency per LED emitter
- The number of LEDs per foot
- The power draw of the LED strip per foot
The most common color is‘warm white which is also known as the incandescent. This specific color is applicable in most of the domestic settings as it creates a soft light. They’re also available in an variety of colors including green, red and blue. These types of strips can be regulated by a remote control and can also be put in to static and dynamic settings.
